Godalming Town Guided History Walks Programme 2024 - Click Here for More Information
Come along and learn about the town’s fascinating and sometimes surprising history.
We will look at the buildings and landscape for clues about Godalming’s past. There are two walks alternating throughout the summer.
(Walk 1) The first looks at the towns ‘industrial’ past whereas
(Walk 2) The second looks at the towns former coaching inns and their role and High Street and Bridge Street
On previous walks, participants have added some interesting comments about the town’s history, to the benefit of us all.
The walks are both relatively easy walking on the public footpaths around the town and usually take about 1½ hours each. No booking is required, the walks are free, just turn up at the Pepperpot at 2.30pm.
The dates for this year are the following Saturdays:
May 11th -Walk 1
June 8th Walk 2
July 13th – Walk 1
August 10th - Walk 2
